Sunday, December 3

12:44 a.m. - Traffic stop on W. Main St. The vehicle's tags expired on November 16. The driver was cited and released.

2:32 a.m. - Traffic stop on W. Market at Grant for multiple moving violations. The driver was found to be impaired and was arrested for OVI.

5:49 a.m. - To the area of Clay & West for a possible overdose. The officer saw a male lying in the grass next to his vehicle. He had overdosed on heroin and was transported to Upper Valley Medical Center for treatment. He was also charged with inducing panic.

9:28 a.m. - To St. Rt. 41 near the city limits for a report of an injured deer. The officer saw a doe that was still alive, but not moving, lying in the ditch. It was probably struck by a vehicle. The deer was outside of the city limits, but no deputy was available. The officer dispatched the deer using one deer slug and one round from his pistol. The next person on the deer list was called and picked up the carcass.

11:14 a.m. - To Mystic Ln. N. for a report of a theft of a bicycle. No suspect was located.

2:40 p.m. - A woman called to report that her boyfriend threatened to shoot her between the eyes because she tried to get him in trouble the night before. The man was located at Tim Horton's. He admitted to talking to the woman and yelling at her because she called police on him the night before. He was taken into custody for aggravated menacing and taken to the Miami County Jail.

8:14 p.m. - To Garfield Ave. for a report of a disturbance. One subject was arrested for domestic violence.

 

Monday, December 4

12:48 p.m. - A woman came to the Police Station regarding possible menacing. She wanted a subject warned not to contact her in any way. The officer left a message on the subject's voice mail warning him about telephone harassment.

1:37 p.m. - To Kohl's for a report of a theft. The property was recovered and the subject was charged with misdemeanor theft.

1:46 p.m. - A woman came to the police station to turn in a wallet that she had found. Attempts to contact the owner were unsuccessful. The wallet was placed in a property locker.

5:08 p.m. - To True Value Hardware for a report of a theft. The property was returned and no charges were filed.

5:14 p.m. A woman came to the Police Station to report an unruly juvenile. The juvenile was charged with being unruly.

5:40 p.m. - To Long St. for a report of criminal damaging.

9:47 p.m. - To S. Market St. for a report of an alarm. The glass in the rear door had been broken and entry to the business was made. Some costume jewelry was missing and the cash drawer had been moved. There are no witnesses or suspects.

 

Tuesday, December 5

4:04 p.m. - Traffic stop in the 1600 block of W. Main St. The driver was cited for expired tags.

5:19 p.m. - Traffic stop on Adams St. at Staunton Rd. The driver was cited for speed.

8:13 p.m. - An officer saw a driver do a rolling stop on Troy-Urbana Rd. at Piqua-Troy Rd. The officer initiated a traffic stop. The driver was cited for expired plates and warned for the stop sign violation.

 

Wednesday, December 6

12:44 a.m. - Traffic stop on W. Main near I-75. The driver was cited for driving under suspension and the owner was cited for wrongful entrustment.

12:56 a.m. - Traffic stop on Dorset at Hensley. The driver was cited for no operator's license and expired plates. The front seat passenger was arrested on an outstanding warrant and placed in the Miami County Jail. The vehicle was towed.

1:55 a.m. - A motorist reported a vehicle driving recklessly on I-75. The vehicle was located and a traffic stop was initiated after the driver committed multiple violations. The driver was found to be suspended and was cited. The passenger was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and was cited.

11:23 a.m. - To Surrey Rd. for a report of identity theft.

12:39 p.m. - To La Fiesta for a report of a theft. A woman tried to leave without paying for her lunch. She was charged with petty theft.

1:30 p.m. - To Walgreen's. A man was given a ride from Indianapolis to Ohio with the promise of a construction job. They stopped at Walgreen's. The victim went inside the store and the suspect left with the victim's belongings. Officers assisted the victim in getting a ride back to Indianapolis.

3:51 p.m. - To S. Clay St. for a report of a theft.

5:51 p.m. - An officer saw a vehicle on the street with no headlights on. He initiated a traffic stop and cited the driver.

6:57 p.m. - An officer saw an abandoned vehicle parked on Rutherford Dr. The vehicle was blocking the roadway and the plates were expired. The vehicle was towed. The owner was cited for expired plates and parking on a roadway.

9:52 p.m. - To Vincent Ave. for a report of a domestic disturbance. A woman reported that her boyfriend punched her and pushed her to the ground. Officers went to the boyfriend's residence, charged him with domestic violence and took him to the Miami County Jail.

11:19 p.m. - An officer saw a vehicle run the red light at Main and Cherry. He initiated a traffic stop and cited the driver.

 

Thursday, December 7

2:06 a.m. - Traffic sotp on W. Market at I-75. The driver was found to be under suspension and was cited for it.

3:39 a.m. - To the 1300 block of W. Main St. for a report of a theft in progress. Unknown subjects had tried to steal a trailer. The owner was alerted and the subjects left without the trailer.

8:18 a.m. - To N. Market St. for a report of a burglary. A male subject had kicked in a shed door to take a TV. The witensses knew the subject and charges will be filed.

5:20 p.m. - Traffic stop on Staunton Rd. near Skylark. the driver was cited for speed (50/35).

6:56 p.m. - To Heritage Dr. for a report of unruly juveniles. Three juveniles stole yard deocrations from the residence. They have not been identified at this time.

10:04 p.m. - Traffic stop on E. Main St. near S. Crawford St. The driver was cited for a Temporary permit violation.

 

Friday, December 8

8:42 a.m. - An officer saw a vehicle run the red light at Main and Monroe. He initiated a traffic stop in the Advance Auto Parts lot. The driver said she did not intentionally run the light. She was cited, and was very upset that she got a ticket.

4:08 p.m. - Traffic stop on W. Main St. The driver was cited for expired plates.

6:08 p.m. - To Stonyridge Ave. for a child custody issue.

6:26 p.m. - Traffic stop on W. Main St. The driver was cited for expired plates.

8:09 p.m. - To S. Crawford St. for a report of a disturbance. A man was charged with domestic violence.

 

Saturday, December 9

1:42 p.m. - An officer saw a vehicle run the stop sign on Canal at McKaig. The vehicle then turned left, the driver accelerated and the vehicle began to fishtail. He initiated a traffic stop on Elm St. The driver said that he had bad brakes. HE was cited for a stop sign violation and warned for reckless operation and unsafe vehicle.

3:25 p.m. - Traffic stop on Adams St. at Ferguson Dr. The driver was cited for speed and fictitious plates.

3:58 p.m. - Traffic stop in the 1800 block of W. Main St. The driver was cited for expired registration.

8:18 p.m. - To Kohl's for a report of a shoplister. A female was charged with theft and released.

8:52 p.m. - A driver southbound on Commerce Cneter Blvd. tried to stop at McKaig, but lost control on the snow covered street, slid through the intersection, went off the road and through a fence in the 1600 block of McKaig. The driver was cited for failure to control.
