James “Jimmy” C. Campbell, age 85, of Troy, Ohio died March 9, 2014. He was born in Sudbury, Ontario to the late Lloyd and Georgia (McLean) Campbell.

James was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline E. (Mills) Campbell. He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law and one daughter and son-in-law: John C. (Vickie) Campbell of Troy, Robert J. (Chris) Campbell of Troy, Janis C. (Mark) Howell of Columbus, and Brian S. (Anne Mary) Campbell of Norwood, Massachusetts; five siblings: Clinton Campbell of Brampton, Ontario, Reg Campbell of Wasaga Beach, Ontario, Ron Campbell of Richmond, British Columbia, Joy Campbell of Scarborough, Ontario and Doug Campbell of Mississauga, Ontario; five grandchildren: Ian Campbell, Megan Howell, Alix and Emma Campbell and Justin Poock. In addition to his parents and his wife, Jimmy was preceded in death by one brother, Wellington Peter Campbell. From 1948-50 he played hockey in England and Scotland. He played for the Chatham Maroons in Ontario from 1950-56. He finished his hockey career in 1957 with the Troy Bruins and Huntington Hornets. He was a long time member of the Troy Fish & Game Club and he ran the Troy youth hockey program for several years. Jimmy retired from BF Goodrich after nearly 30 years of service. He was an avid golfer, card player and loved horse racing. A family celebration will be held at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
