Spencer Hinderman, a 2016 graduate of Troy High School, has been accepted to Wright State University next fall. Hinderman, the son of Kelly and Robin Hinderman of Troy, plans to major in Business Management. Hinderman is the recipient of a BGSU Academic Scholarship, an academic scholarship from Cleveland State University, an academic scholarship offered thru the University of Findlay, and, during the THS awards assembly on May 24th, Spencer was awarded a Glyn & Gladys Williams Memorial Scholarship.

Spencer is a member of Troy Junior Basketball Association teams, playing since 6^th grade and captain for the last two years, a starter for TSC Black 99 Soccer Club, and Troy co-ed Soccer Team and he played as starter for the THS squad his junior year. Spencer has been nominated for academic recognition many times thru The Congress for Future Science and Technology Leaders, Expo at Yale, People to People Student Ambassador Programs and National Youth Leadership Council.   Spencer’s volunteer activities have kept him very active in the community thru Habitat for Humanity, A Brush With Kindness, Blue Star Mothers troop pack and their fundraising/ milkshake booth at the fair, Lostcreek Tree Planting, Protect our Waterways clean up, Relay for Life team member, Make a Difference Day, Special Olympics Dayton Ohio Plane Pull. Spencer was also a member of FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) and the Spanish Club while attending THS. He plans on continuing his part time job while pursuing an internship this summer.
