The Miami County commissioners Dec. 22 approve an agreement with Professional Archaeological Services Team of Plain City to conduct an archaeological review required for a West Milton sidewalk project being paid for in part with grant money.

The company will do either a phase one survey or an archival review/field visit of the project site, as approved by the Ohio Historic Preservation Office. The maximum cost approved was $1,418.

The review was required as part of the use of Community Development Block Grant funds, the commission was told.

In other business last week, the commission OK’d the hiring of Michael Williams as a maintenance technician 2 for the facilities and operations department.
