Friday, February 12

7:34 p.m. – To N. County Rd. 25A for a report of a disturbance. Investigation showed that a male had assaulted three of his family members during an altercation. He was taken into custody and incarcerated on three counts of Domestic Violence.

Saturday, February 13

1:11 p.m. – Traffic stop on Crescent Dr. The driver and passenger were cited for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. The driver was also cited for unsafe vehicle and no operator’s license.

Monday, February 15

12:36 p.m. – To the 200 block of S. Elm St. to serve a warrant. Stephanie Jones was taken to the Miami County Jail for her warrant and was also charged with possession of drugs.

4:01 p.m. – To N. County Rd. 25A for a report of a theft. A man reported that his enclosed trailer containing several tools was stolen.

11:34 p.m. – While eastbound on Staunton Rd. near N. Market St., the deputy saw a black Chevrolet make several moving violations. He ran the plate and showed that it expired in October, 2015. It was also registered to a 2007 Nissan. He initiated a traffic stop. The driver said that her boyfriend put the plates on the vehicle and she did not know that they didn’t match her vehicle. She was cited for expired registration and fictitious plates and released.

Thursday, February 18

1:27 a.m. – Traffic stop on E. Simpson St. at S. Walnut St. The driver had gone left of center and almost struck the deputy’s cruiser. He was arrested for possession of heroin, marijuana and schedule IV drugs.

Friday, February 19

2:11 a.m. – Traffic stop on I-75 at the 72 mile marker. The driver was found to be driving under suspension and under the influence of alcohol. He was cited for OVI, failure to reinstate and marked lanes.

11:04 a.m. – To Peters Pike for a report of a theft. A woman reported that her husband’s medication was stolen. She said that the pills were stolen while people were in the residence. The case is under investigation.

4:05 p.m. – To County Rd. 25A and Swailes Rd. for a report of wires in the roadway. The deputy was unable to find any wires. He continued to Boone Dr. to turn around and saw a school bus on Boone Dr. As the red lights came on, a Chevy Tahoe passed the bus. The deputy initiated a traffic stop but checked with the bus driver to see if the Tahoe had actually passed while the lights were on. The driver stated that the red lights were on and a juvenile was exiting as the Tahoe passed. The deputy then spoke with the driver of the Tahoe who said that she was in the process of passing the bus when the red lights came on. The deputy checked his video, but the screen was too small to see what had happened. He informed the driver that he would watch the video on a larger screen and released her. Viewing the video at the office, it clearly showed the Tahoe passing while the red lights were flashing and a juvenile was exiting the bus. The deputy went to the driver’s home and issued her a citation.

6:08 p.m. – Traffic stop on I-75 at the 76 mile marker. The vehicle was clocked at 97 MPH and was so cited.

11:50 p.m. – Traffic stop on State Route 202 at State Route 41. The driver stated that her license was suspended. She was cited for driving under suspension and the vehicle was released to a valid driver.
