2:23 p.m. – To Hickory Hollow Rd. for a report of menacing. A woman reported that her father was threatening her husband. She said that he made comments about shooting and killing her husband, and has done so in front of their 8-year-old daughter. She said he owns guns and wanted the incident documented in case there are further issues.
2:58 p.m. – To Woodridge Dr. for a report of a fraud. A woman stated that someone had used her and her husband’s credit card numbers to purchase items in California and in Troy.
4:55 p.m. – To Laurel Creek Dr. for a report of a fraud. A man reported that he received a call from Verizon indicating that someone had opened a new account in his name. He said Verizon requested a police report to start their fraud process.
5:31 p.m. – While stationary at County Rd. 25A and Eldean Rd., the deputy saw a silver Ford Ranger do a burnout when the light turned green. He initiated a traffic stop and the driver immediately apologized and said what he did was stupid. The driver was found to be under suspension and was so cited. He made arrangements to have his vehicle picked up. The deputy noted that the driver was polite and cooperative.
Tuesday, March 29
6:31 p.m. – To Normandy Lane for a report of a theft. No further details were given.
Wednesday, March 30
5:00 p.m. – Traffic stop on Archer Dr. The driver was cited for driving under suspension. The male passenger was taken into custody for possession of crack and possession of drug paraphernalia. The evidence will be sent to the crime lab for further confirmation analysis.
Thursday, March 31
1:40 a.m. – To I-75 for a report of a reckless driver. The deputy entered the highway at the W. Market St. exit and saw a Ford Explorer traveling northbound. He watched the Explorer commit several lane violations and initiated a traffic stop at the 75 mile marker. The driver had no license but had several out-of-county warrants. The warrants were confirmed and the driver was taken into custody and charged with marked lanes and no operator’s license. The vehicle was towed.
Friday, April 1
2:24 a.m. – Traffic stop in the 3100 block of N. County Rd. 25A. The driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was taken into custody for OVI.
3:47 p.m. – To the area of Rt. 202 and Staunton Rd. for a report of a reckless driver. The vehicle was located and upon further investigation, a male was arrested for OVI and incarcerated in the Miami County Jail.
