10:17 a.m. – A man came to the Sheriff’s office and turned in a pair of jeans and a wallet. He said he found them on the ground in front of his residence. The ID was for a Canal St. resident. The deputy went to the address and learned that the owner no longer lives there. He was unable to find a valid phone number for the owner.

Sunday, July 31

11:48 a.m. – Traffic stop on Troy Sidney Rd. at Woodhaven Ln. The driver was cited for driving under suspension and marked lanes.

1:17 p.m. – To Upper Valley Medical Center for a report of an assault and theft. A man reported that his wife hit him with a baseball bat and took his money. He said that they are legally married and the incident occurred at their home in Minster. He was advised to contact his attorney about the money and Auglaize County authorities about the assault. He was not happy with the deputy’s response and began to argue with him and wanted a supervisor to come to the hospital so he could make a complaint. He was advised to call dispatch and ask to speak with the Officer in Charge.
