An Eagle Scout service project that involved placing markers reminding citizens to help protect Troy’s drinking water supply on more than 1,320 catch basins was recognized during Troy City Council’s meeting Feb. 16.

Joe Pascale, an Eagle Scout candidate, planned, developed and lead others in the project carried out in November and December, council President Marty Baker said. “This was a great service project that benefits all of us,” Baker said.

Those recognized were Pascale, fellow Scouts Gavin Trabert and Jacob Sweeney and Scoutmaster Bill Stoltz of the St. Patrick Catholic Church Troop 365.

The markers state: “No Dumping/Drains to Groundwater.”
