Building permits have been obtained for two projects – a Circle K gas station and the Chick-Fil-A restaurant - near the intersection of West Main Street with Experiment Farm Road and South Stanfield Road.

A permit by Circle K/American Trademark Construction Services was obtained for 1901 W. Main St. The new building and gas canopy permit for the Circle K station lists an estimated valued of $769,000.

The station is being constructed on the site of the former Friendly Ice Cream restaurant.
