“It just kind of happened,” said Troy Christian Elementary School Choir Director Cindy Grady.

“We went to a game last year and heard another choir,” said Grady. “I told my husband that we could do better.”

When the information came out about a contest sponsored by a Dayton newspaper, she fi lled out an application.

They were chosen to perform the National Anthem last Thursday evening (June 11).

“The kids and parents were excited,” said Grady. “They performed very well, considering we haven’t been together for over a month.”

About 40 members were able to attend. “A lot couldn’t come because of vacations,” said Grady.

For those keeping score, the Dragons lost.
